Maalox bought me 3 cans of shaving cream, want to know how?

Recently there were $5 coupons in a Sunday Newspaper Insert.
I have already used the ones I have so I bought 20 more on Ebay for $2.00
Some of the Maalox at Walgreens is on sale for $3.99. 
That gives me $1.01 overage on each bottle. 

I went today and they had only 3 bottles for $3.99.
So that meant I would have 3 x $1.01  equals $3.03 to spend on something else.
My daughter needed some shaving cream and they had the Walgreen brand for 99 cents each.
You also had to use the Walgreens coupon for the shaving cream so I went and got an add up front to tear out.

When I went to pay
3Maalox @ $3.99 each
$11.97
3 Walgreens Shaving Cream for 99 cents each
$2.97

total $14.94
I had to have at least $15 worth so my coupons would go through so I got a piece of candy for 33 cents

total after candy was $15.37

then tax was $1,15

equals  $16.52
minus the 3  $ 5 coupons

equals
$1.52

this is what I paid for 3 maalox and 3 shaving creams

And I still have 17 ($5 coupons) to use on more Maalox once they get some in stock. 


Not bad huh?  Just cost me $2 for 20 ($5 coupons) on Ebay


WARNING!!!!  Some Walgreens may not honor the coupons at face value.  If they don't just ask for your coupons back and tell them you don;t want the products. I had this happen at the one in Graham today. 

BUT..... just think ............... if they would have taken my coupons at $5 and fixed it were I didn't get the $1.01 to use on something then they would have been the ones rewarded for eht $1.01 extra when they turned them in.  NOT FAIR.............. so don' t let that happen.
